Multidistrict Litigation

What is multidistrict litigation?

Multidistrict litigation (MDL) is a special procedure under US federal law designed to streamline complex civil litigation involving many people across a large number of federal judicial districts.

Under the MDL rule, qualifying cases can be consolidated and are overseen by a single judge.

Whilst the MDL may result in a mass tort settlement, if it doesn’t result in compensation, plaintiffs can still pursue damages through individual lawsuits.

FinLegal’s  claims automation solution has processed thousands of claimants. Our solution helps to make mass torts more cost effective and reduces costs for law firms and litigation funders.
